This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the Feed Maker app in connection with a merchant's use of Shopify. It does not govern Shopify's own privacy practices or any third-party services used by the merchant outside of the app.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how the app is used, Feed Maker may process the following categories of information:

• Merchant account and store details, such as the shop domain and app installation status.
• Product catalog information needed to create the feed, including products, variants, inventory availability, media, and related metafield overrides configured by the merchant.
• App configuration data, such as feed settings, target market settings, exclusion rules, rebuild intervals, and generated feed tokens.
• Operational data, including build status, warning messages, timestamps, generated snapshots, and technical logs needed to troubleshoot or maintain the service.

Feed Maker is intended for merchant-facing catalog operations and is not designed to intentionally collect customer payment card data or sensitive personal information.

3. How We Use Information

• To authenticate the app with Shopify and maintain merchant sessions.
• To generate, refresh, and serve product feed snapshots for approved feed URLs.
• To apply merchant-configured product and variant overrides in the generated feed.
• To monitor performance, diagnose failures, and improve app reliability.
• To comply with legal obligations, enforce terms, and protect the security of the app and merchants.

4. Legal Basis and Merchant Responsibility

Where applicable, Feed Maker processes information to perform services requested by the merchant, to pursue legitimate business interests in operating and securing the app, and to comply with legal obligations.

Merchants remain responsible for ensuring that their use of Feed Maker, including any data they publish through external channels such as Google Merchant Center, complies with applicable privacy, consumer protection, and marketing laws.

5. Storage and Retention

Feed Maker stores app settings, feed builds, and feed snapshots in application-controlled storage for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the app, maintain recent build history, and support recovery or troubleshooting.

Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required for these purposes, when the merchant uninstalls the app, or when deletion is required by law.

6. Sharing of Information

Feed Maker does not sell merchant data. Information may be shared only as necessary:

• With Shopify, to authenticate the app and access merchant-authorized store data.
• With infrastructure or hosting providers acting on behalf of the app operator.
• With service providers engaged for security, monitoring, backup, or operational support.
• When disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

7. Data Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to protect information processed by Feed Maker. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

8. International Transfers

Information may be processed in jurisdictions other than the merchant's location, including where hosting or service providers operate. When required, appropriate safeguards should be used for cross-border data transfers.

9. Rights and Requests

Depending on applicable law, merchants may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of certain personal information. Requests related to Shopify platform data may also need to be coordinated through Shopify.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or operational practices. The current version will be posted at this URL, and the effective date above will be updated when changes are made.
